Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is known for its powerful hygroscopic properties. It plays a crucial role in maintaining skin hydration due to its ability to attract and retain moisture.

Hyaluronic acid in a nutshell:

  • Prominent component of skin (mainly dermis)
  • Effect: moisturizing, firming, plumping, anti-wrinkle
  • Recommended use: day and night creams, moisturizers, serums, eye creams
  • Skin types: suitable for all skin types, especially dry and mature skin
  • Tip: Using products with a lot of hyaluronic acid makes sense, especially in the morning - the skin immediately looks fresh and plump.

The Benefits

Hyaluronic acid is known for its powerful hygroscopic properties: it is capable of binding a large quantity of water molecules – explaining the nick name “molecular sponge” – forming extremely viscous solutions which produce an excellent hydrating effect. In skin it plays a physiological role of a reservoir by retaining water in the dermis and a mechanical role of damper to improve the biomechanical properties of the skin such as suppleness, firmness and wrinkle filling.

The benefits of hyaluronic acid in skin care:

  • Rejuvenates the skin
  • Effective anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing effects
  • Effectively moisturises the skin

Diadermine x Hyaluronic acid

In Diadermine products we use 3 different kinds of Hyaluronic acid

  1. Hyaluronic acid
  2. Hyaluronic acid bound to Silanol: With this technology we ensure a time-release effect of hyaluronic acid to skin by 24 hours.
  3. Hyaluronic microspheres: The capsules swell when re-hydrated and fill a volume of 10 to 20 times larger than their original size.
